Pack What??

Do you know the most common question we get after someone selects their dream trip?  “What should I pack?”

The answer, of course, depends on your destination, the time of year you’re traveling, and your personal preferences. But there are some essential items that everyone should pack for their trip.

Here’s our high-level packing list for trips to get you started:

  • Clothes: Pack comfortable clothes that can be layered. You’ll want to be prepared for a variety of weather conditions.
  • Shoes: Pack a pair of comfortable shoes that you can walk in. You’ll be doing a lot of walking on a group trip.
  • Toiletries: Don’t forget to pack your toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and any other toiletries you use on a regular basis.
  • Medications: If you take any medications, be sure to pack enough for your trip.
  • First-aid kit: Pack a small first-aid kit with bandages, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any other medications you might need in case of an accident.
  • Sunscreen: Don’t forget to pack sunscreen! You’ll be exposed to the sun a lot on a group trip.
  • Sunglasses: Sunglasses will protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.
  • Hat: A hat will help protect your head from the sun.
  • Camera: You’ll want to capture all the memories of your group trip!
  • Phone charger: Don’t forget to pack your phone charger! You’ll be using your phone to stay connected with your friends and family back home, as well as to take pictures and videos.
  • Laptop or tablet: If you’re planning on doing any work or school work on your trip, be sure to pack your laptop or tablet.
  • Adapter: If you’re traveling to a country with different electrical outlets, be sure to pack an adapter.
  • Luggage: You’ll need something to pack all of your belongings in! Choose luggage that is lightweight and easy to maneuver.

Remember, this is a general packing list. Be sure to add or remove items based on your specific needs and destination.

For our clients, we make sure we give them a detailed packing list, so they have recommendations for what to pack in their carry-on vs. checked luggage. Also, don’t forget to pack your sense of adventure! Any trip you take is a great way to make memories that will last a lifetime.
