The Utopia of the Seas is not only a marvel of modern engineering but also a culinary paradise. Attending the naming event allowed me to explore the diverse dining options available on this magnificent ship. Whether you’re a foodie or just love trying new dishes, the Utopia of the Seas has something for everyone.
Don’t have time or want to spend the ever-increasing costs of fine dining at home? Well, no worries as you get to try an array of fine dining restaurants that cater to every palate. From Michelin-starred chefs to innovative culinary creations, dining on this ship is an experience in itself. Highlights include the elegant “Chef’s Table,” where you can enjoy a multi-course meal paired with exquisite wines, and “Wonderland,” a whimsical dining experience that takes you on a journey through imaginative cuisine. These are two experiences that have an small additional fee, but you have plenty of options in the main dining room where proper attire is required for entry.
For more casual dining options, the Utopia of the Seas does not disappoint. The “Windjammer Marketplace” offers a buffet-style dining experience with a variety of international cuisines. Families will love the “Boardwalk Dog House,” where gourmet hot dogs are served with a variety of toppings. And let’s not forget “The Spare Tire” a food truck concept next to one of the many pools. I am so glad, we didn’t find the desserts at this spot until the last day!! Otherwise, I would have packed on more than the 5 lbs gained! There are plenty of cafes and snack bars scattered throughout the ship, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely coffee break. We didn’t even scratch the surface of eating at each spot! But we made multiple stops at my “favorite hangout” the Pesky Parrot. I don’t know about you, but I enjoy a nice Tequila drink. And yes, the Tequila Zombie kept calling my name!
Royal Caribbean’s favorite specialty restaurants still provide a unique dining experience. “Izumi” serves fresh sushi and sashimi, while “Chops Grille” offers succulent steaks and seafood. But the ultimate Specialty restaurant experience will be the Royal Railway-Utopia Station!! We were able to sample a few food and beverage items as well as sit in the cable cars to enjoy the “old western” scenery as it passed by our table. (Check out our SM channels to see what I’m talking about, you will not be disappointed!!) Of course, each restaurant is designed with a distinct ambiance, ensuring that every meal is a memorable one. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
